The Power of a Smile
PSYCHOLOGISTS past and present agree that there are more than 15 types of smiles, all conveying different messages. Often referred to as "the chosen vehicle for all ambiguities," smiling can express fear, embarrassment, sadness, or even anger.
You feel good when you smile.
Smiling increases feel-good hormones while decreasing stress hormones, including cortisol and adrenaline. It also lowers blood pressure in general and because you usually smile when you are happy, the muscles used stimulate your brain to increase endorphins which are chemicals that relieve pain and anger.
A smile removes anger
Smiling can help you live longer.
According to studies conducted by Harvard University in the health cadre, the hope that a person experiences associated with smiling leads to a reduction in the effect of death and infection. And according to research in the peer-reviewed journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, people who experience higher optimism have longer life spans.
Even smiling can have a different shape on how you are perceived. According to a study conducted to investigate the romantic attraction of people based on showing happiness, for men it was found that a smile was a strong emotional attraction for a woman; for women, a smile was a common attraction for a man's feelings. Finally, it was determined that smiling brings different romantic feelings depending on gender.

Smiling is not a learned habit.
Believe it or not, humans are born smiling. With the development of technology, doctors and medicine have been able to realize that babies smile in the mother's womb and continue to smile even after they are born.
